Take a trip to Switzerland during the Advent season to experience magical emotions as the cities dress up and come alive with Christmas markets. We will visit Basel, an elegant city nestled along the romantic banks of the Rhine, and Zurich, with its markets set up throughout the city including the famous “Zürcher Christkindlmarkt.”

DECEMBER 16 - BASEL
Early morning departure from the chosen location to Basel, an elegant city nestled along the romantic banks of the Rhine. Free lunch. Afternoon dedicated to shopping where you can lose yourself in the largest and most traditional Christmas market in all of Switzerland. You can stroll through the streets of the old town filled with an intense festive atmosphere, admire the lights on the houses, with the decorated fi nishes and well-kept store windows that will leave you truly enchanted. Artisans and street vendors from all over Switzerland offer their best products on the approximately 150 festively lit wooden houses. A visit to the famous Doll Museum with the world's largest collection of vintage teddy bears is a must. Upon completion continue to the hotel. Dinner and overnight stay.

DECEMBER 17 - ZURICH
Breakfast. Departure for Zurich. Morning devoted to free visit to the various Christmas markets set up in the city. The most famous is surely the "Zürcher Christkindlmarkt," set up in the monumental Central Station. It is the largest indoor Christmas Market with 150 decorated houses with a giant Christmas tree in the center covered with more than 7,000 sparkling Swarovski jewels that enchant children and adults alike. Also not to be missed are the market on the Werdmühleplatz, which exudes atmosphere and charm with its repertoire of Christmas carols, and the Sechseläuten Platz on the Bellevue, where upscale products for the discerning can be found. Free lunch. Early afternoon return journey with arrival expected in the evening.
