DAY 1 - Milan - Udine - Gorizia Wednesday, 15/10/2025
Departure by GT coach from Inzago for Udine.
Arrival in Udine and lunch in a typical restaurant.
After lunch, meet with the guide and at 14h30 to the restaurant.
The tour will begin with a guided tour of the Diocesan Museum and its collection of some 700 works, including the
eighteenth-century frescoes by Giambattista Tiepolo, who decorated the ceiling of the Scalone d'onore, the Gallery
of guests and the Red Room.
Followed by city tour; most of the streets of the old town are enhanced by its arcades, one of the sections still features picturesque city ditches; you will then see Freedom Square, the Clock Tower and other points of interest in the city. At the end of the visit free time, then transfer to Gorizia.

DAY 2 - Gorizia - Miramare - Trieste - Gorizia Thursday, 16/10/2025
Breakfast at the hotel.
Departure by bus for Trieste.
Meeting with guide at Miramare Castle and tour of the castle.
Built between 1856 and 1860 as a residence for Archduke Ferdinand Maximilian of Habsburg, later Emperor of Mexico, and his wife Charlotte of Belgium. The archduke personally oversaw both the design of the mansion and the layout of the vast park (more than 22 hectares), an English and Italianate garden, rich in rare plants, sculptures and ponds, which descends in wide steps to the sea. The interior consists of more than 20 rooms: of particular note are the "Rooms of Maximilian," including the bedroom, furnished like a ship's cabin, and the "Throne Room." The rooms can be visited according to a pre-established itinerary that runs from the first floor to the second floor: one can admire the sumptuous original furnishings of the state rooms, private apartments, rich in works of art, furniture and precious objects.
Afterwards transfer to a downtown restaurant and lunch.
In the afternoon, guided tour of Trieste: Piazza Unità, the Rive, the Old Town, the Roman Theater, the Borgo Teresiano, and more...
You will also be able to climb to San Giusto Hill to see the Cathedral and the Roman Forum.
At the end of the visit free time and then return to Gorizia and dinner at a restaurant.

DAY 3 - Gorizia - Aquileia - Grado - Gorizia Friday, 17/10/2025
Breakfast at the hotel.
Meet your guide and depart for a visit to Gorizia, Capital of Culture 2025.
You will see historic palaces, parks, churches and synagogues; reach Piazza Transalpina, until 2004 crossed by the border wall with Slovenia, and visit the incredible Gorizia Castle.
At the end of the visit, transfer to Aquileia for a typical lunch.
Continue with a visit to Aquileia, a UNESCO Site, admissions included to the Basilica to see the splendid mosaics.
Aquileia is one of the most important archaeological sites in northern Italy. It has been a UNESCO site since 1998 because of the importance of its archaeological area and the beauty of the floor mosaics it holds. Of all of them, the largest and best known is that of the basilica of St. Mary of the Assumption, dating back to the 4th century, but to this are added other precious mosaic remains from the Roman and early Christian periods, making Aquileia a kind of capital of Roman mosaic in the West.
We will continue with a tasting of 3 wines with local products at a well-known local winery.
At the end of the visit return to Gorizia and dinner at a restaurant.

DAY 4 - Gorizia - Palmanova - Cividale - Gorizia Saturday, 10/18/2024
Breakfast at the hotel.
Depart for Palmanova, meet the guide and visit the Starry City, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
In order to strengthen the defenses on the Friulian territory against the raids of the Turks and the expansionist aims of the Habsburgs, Venice decided to build the new royal fortress in the center of the Friulian plain, a perfect example of "modern-style" fortifications of the late Renaissance period.
At the end of the visit transfer to Cividale and lunch in a restaurant.
After lunch, guided tour of Cividale: the old town, the Monastery of Santa Maria in Valle with the famous Lombard Temple, and the Devil's Bridge, torn down during the defeat of Caporetto and later rebuilt.
At the end of visits return to Gorica, dinner at a restaurant.

DAY 5 - Gorizia - Prediama - Postumia - Milan Sunday, 10/19/2024
Breakfast at hotel, check-out and transfer by bus to Predjama
Upon arrival, visit with audio guide to Predjama Castle. Just a few kilometers from Postojna Cave, the karst world offers an unforgettable experience in the enchanted world of knights. On a 123 m vertical wall, the impregnable medieval miracle has been embedded for 800 years. Behind the world's largest cave castle lies a network of secret tunnels, which the knight Erasmus of Predjama passed through to carry out his plundering.
Then continue with a tour of the Caves by miniature train.
At the end, typical Slovenian lunch.
After lunch return home.
