Discovering Lake Maggiore

Individual arrival. In the early afternoon meeting with the private guide for the visit of the Villa Taranto Gardens. The gardens of Villa Taranto in Verbania, between Intra and Pallanza, are known the world over for their great beauty and the huge number of plant species they contain.
At the end of the visit, individual transfer to the hotel, Baveno area. Accommodation in the rooms. Three-course dinner, drinks not included. Overnight.

Breakfast at hotel. Individual transfer to Stresa where you will take the motorboat to Isola Madre. Upon arrival, meeting with the guide and visit of the Botanical Garden and Palazzo Borromeo. Its palace displays furnishings from the historic residences of the Borromeo family, and contains some beautiful rooms, such as the Dolls’ Room, the Room of the Seasons and a room devoted to the Puppet Theatre. Isola Madre is the largest and perhaps most characteristic of the three islands in the Borromean Gulf. Continuous and exuberant blooms, fruit of the work of expert gardeners, constantly renew the corners of the park: from the groves of magnolias to those of bamboo, from the fragrant pergolas of wisteria to the espaliers of citrus fruits, from the parterres of ancient camellias and rhododendrons to the pools overflowing with water lilies and lotus flower. Eucalyptus, palm and banana trees coexist with the collection of conifers and maples. Lunch at La Piratera Restaurant, drinks not included.
At the end of the lunch, transfer by motorboat to Isola Bella. Guided tour of Borromeo Palace and free visit of the gardens. A fascinating journey between art and history accompanies you in over 20 rooms. The heart of Borromeo Palace, the Berthier Gallery is a mosaic of over 130 paintings that includes masterpieces and some copies of the great masters of the past such as Raphael, Correggio, Titian, Guido Reni - a recurring practice in the noble collections of the time.
Unique environments are the Throne Room, the Queens Room, the Tapestry Room and the Caves, created to amaze guests by transporting them to a magical marine world. The Italian Baroque Garden, which includes ten terraces, which explode with a different colour with each flowering. At the end of the visit free time for shopping in the “Vicolo del Fornello”.
In the late afternoon, return by motorboat to Stresa. Individual transfer to the hotel, Baveno area. Three-course dinner, drinks not included. Overnight.

Breakfast at hotel. Individual transfer to Mottarone. Mottarone is a granite mountain that rises between the Maggiore and Orta lakes, between the province of Novara and Verbania. From here, the gaze is lost in infinity: with clear skies, the view sweeps from the Maritime Alps to Monviso, from the nearest Monte Rosa massif to the Swiss Alps, up to the Po Valley.
Meeting with the licensed guide, e-bike rental with helmet and half-day itinerary within the Mottarone Park. Barbecue - tasting at Bar Stazione.
In the afternoon, possibility of activities at the Mottarone Adventure Park. The Adventure Park offers four routes with different levels of difficulty: easy, intermediate and difficult. The paths are built on a series of trees in the wooded area at different heights up to 15 meters. You can try your hand at paths on catwalks, on ropes, zip-lines and jumps always in complete safety thanks to the Zazza hooking system in a continuous line.
At the end of the activity, return to the hotel in Baveno or the surrounding area. Three-course dinner, drinks not included. Overnight.

Breakfast at hotel. Individual transfer to the “Rocca di Angera”. Meeting with the guide and visit of the Fortress. The Angera Fortress stands majestically on a spur of rock that dominates the southern shore of Lake Maggiore, on the Lombardy side. It is now the perfectly harmonious result of five different buildings: the tower, or Torre Castellana, the Scaligera wing, the Viscontea wing, the Giovanni Visconti tower, the Borromeo wing.
Impossible not to be surprised by the size and grandeur of this building and by the solemnity of the rooms of the Buon Romano, Mythology, Ceremonies, San Carlo, Fasti Borromeo where large canvases, portraits and furnishings refer to ancient times. Free lunch and possibility to see the famous Doll and Toy Museum. In the afternoon, transfer to the Pallavicino Park for a free visit.
On the Stresa lakefront in the direction of Belgirate, the 18 hectares of park extend where the botanical soul and the fauna live in harmony.
The Borromeo management begins in 2017, the year in which a series of interventions for the recovery and improvement of the environments dedicated to animals as well as the tree-lined avenues are launched. Over 50 species of mammals and birds are housed here, and over time some wild specimens saved by the forest ranger have found a home in the park and which would not survive if released back into the wild. Do not miss the Garden of Flowers, with its multi-colored rose garden and flower beds with ever new blooms throughout the summer.
