Verona and Garda Lake

Visit the beautiful town of Verona and lakeside towns lining Lake Garda on a scenic day trip from Milan.
The beautiful Verona is one of Italy's loveliest towns, the set of the Shakespeare’s “Romeo and Juliet”, and the towns and landscapes of Lake Garda are simply charming in their beauty.
Verona is a beautiful and romantic town. Prosperous in its own, it is also a popular tourist destination. It is rich in archaeological sites and preserves intact its medieval centre.
The Roman Arena, where concerts and operas are still performed in summer, is the city's distinguishing sight, but if you love Shakespeare, 'Juliet's balcony' is a must do attraction.
You will have free time to explore the narrow streets lined with medieval and renaissance ‘palazzi' that make up Verona historic centre.
The beautiful lakeside towns around Lake Garda have fascinated visitors for centuries.
The first people who fell in love with this place were the Romans, they made the area a luxury summer destination;
and in Sirmione you can visit ruins and mosaics that record their presence. Sirmione is a pretty town near the end of a long peninsula on the southern shores of Lake Garda. Its beauty has been praised since the early days by the Roman poet Catullus and it splendour has improved with its narrow medieval streets that bustle with colour and its most striking feature: the moated castle, Rocca Scaligera. Take a stroll through the grand Roman villa and admire the ruined walls and archaeological remains - including a charming carving of rabbits - in the small museum.

Genova e Portofino

Discover Genoa, a place with a glorious past, nowadays one of the most charming towns of the North of Italy and finish your day in Portofino, the pearl of the Ligurian Sea.
Genoa maintains intact the charm of an ancient maritime republic. The Ancient Harbour, renovated in 1992 by the architect Renzo Piano, and the carrugi (the typical labyrinth narrow alleys) of the old town, are just two of the many attractions of this city. Leaving Milan, you arrive directly in Genoa downtown where a professional guide will show you the heart of the town on an inspiring walking tour.
After lunch (not included), you will visit the characteristic village of Santa Margherita Ligure fronting the Tigullio gulf on what is called the “Dolphins coast”.
Here you will take the boat for a mini-cruise to Portofino.
In the afternoon, you have time to visit Portofino, one of the most picturesque seaside villages in the world, whose beauty has been narrated across the millennia by writers and poets, such as Guy de Maupassant.
The journey will end with the return by boat to Santa Margherita, where your coach will be waiting to take you back to Milan.

Cinque terre

Discover the beautiful Cinque Terre, one of Italy's most scenic stretch of coastline, on a day trip from Milan. Meaning 'five lands', the Cinque Terre are five perilously-perched villages strung along a short stretch of cliffs facing the Liguria Sea which now are UNESCO World Heritage-listed site. Leaving Milan, you will arrive at Golfo dei Poeti and visit the characteristic village of Porto Venere.
From here, take a boat trip to Monterosso al Mare alongside the famous Cinque Terre. In Monterosso, the biggest of the five lands, you will have free time to explore it and its beach that runs along most of the coastline. Despite the number of tourists, there is still a real sense of local identity even in the most tourist-crammed little ‘piazza'.
Restaurants, bars and accommodation all have an endearingly homespun air about them, dated back from when the locals saw tourists coming, found a few garden chairs to stick on their terrace, hand painted a sign and began serving customers. After lunch (free lunch), train transfer to Manarola to begin a gentle stroll along the “Via dell’Amore”, scenic coastal path to Riomaggiore overlooking the Mediterranean Sea.
Riomaggiore is Cinque Terre's fifth village. Here you will have free time, you can venture around vineyards and olive groves or simply go down by the piers to enjoy the view of the fishing boats lining at shore.
You will then continue on the final leg of your scenic day trip by train to La Spezia, where your coach will be waiting to take you back to Milan.
